I am interested in the incredible diversity of colourful signals that plants and animals use for communication. In particular, what ecological and evolutionary forces drive such diversity of color? What role does colour divergence play in speciation? I approach these questions at both micro- and macroevolutionary scales using ecological and phenotypic data in combination with population genetic and phylogenetic comparative methods.
